Job Description:

CinemaMotions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and creative Motion Capture Artist to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Motion Capture Artist, you will play a crucial role in the creation of lifelike and engaging characters for various media projects, ensuring the highest quality in motion data capture. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects and collaborate with a team of talented professionals in the field of animation and entertainment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Motion Data Capture: Perform motion capture sessions, wearing specialized suits and markers to record realistic movements for characters, creatures, and other animated entities.

2. Acting and Expression: Embody characters and perform actions, conveying emotion and personality through body movements and expressions to bring characters to life.

3. Equipment Operation: Set up and operate motion capture equipment, cameras, and related technology to capture high-quality data for animation.

4. Data Cleanup: Process and clean motion capture data, ensuring accuracy and eliminating artifacts or inconsistencies.

5. Collaboration: Work closely with directors, animators, and other team members to achieve the desired character performance and motion goals.

6. Character Posing: Assist in character rigging and pose creation for animators, providing valuable reference material for the animation process.

7. Performance Improvement: Continuously refine and enhance motion capture techniques and best practices to optimize the quality of captured data.

8. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of motion capture sessions, equipment maintenance, and data processing procedures.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in motion capture or performance arts is preferred.

2. Familiarity with motion capture software and hardware is a plus.

3. Strong understanding of body mechanics, acting, and character animation.

4. Ability to take direction and perform multiple character roles convincingly.

5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

6. Good communication and collaboration skills.

7. A passion for storytelling and a strong desire to contribute to the entertainment industry.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position, and the schedule will vary depending on project needs. Flexibility is required to accommodate different production timelines.
